As the business’s resident chief strategist, Alex has been a leading force driving the expansion of the GDF enterprise since inception. As a founding partner, he has helped not only craft the M&A strategy, but also execute it in the field as a key face of the company. As a part of this role, he remains a key stakeholder in the company’s government affairs efforts, as reflected by his successful leadership in the passing of adult-use cannabis legislation in Missouri in 2022. As for day-to-day responsibilities, Alex oversees sales partnerships and business development across the four-state footprint, leveraging his penchant for creative deal making, which has translated to rapid revenue growth during the precarious launch phase of each new market and consistent robust wholesale performance as markets have matured. Additionally, he plays a vital role in the company’s real estate strategy in each market, which remains foundational to the vertical’s success in each territory.

Alex is also a seasoned attorney with a rich history in highly regulated industries, including cannabis, administrative law, and gaming. Prior to Good Day Farm, He co-founded Steel Wright Gray, PLLC, a commercial litigation, government relations, and administrative law firm based in Little Rock, Arkansas. During his tenure, Alex successfully represented over a dozen dispensaries and cultivation facilities, ensuring compliance with state cannabis regulations. His expertise led to the acquisition of several medical marijuana dispensary licenses for his clients, which eventually led to him becoming a founding member of Good Day Farm.
